The Flaming Lips on Canvas
When Stef and I saw The Flaming Lips play Glasgow on the 10th of November 2006 it was the best thing ever in the world. (fact). So I decided to make Stef some kind of big art thing on canvas, like a painting, just not as good.

I started by printing a section of one of the gig photos I'd taken (top picture on the right) onto a 900mm x 300mm canvas. I used some weird glue that transfers the ink from a printout onto the canvas, then painted sections of it to make it stand out.
I then made a stencil from a silhouette in a second photo and used it to create the band on canvas.
I used the same principal to create the crowd from two other photos.
And then the balloons
Finally I painted in the lazer lines.
And stuck it on a wall.
