Wind-up Bellydance Bot
BellyDance Bot likes tribal as well as traditional bellydancing and loves Sharon Kihara and the Bellydance Superstars.
She recently did her first solo dance and has been described as 'awesome'.
When she is not dancing she enjoys squirrel fishing, sleeping and buying bellydance outfits.
I based Bellydance Bot's mechanism on the wind-up dancing robots you can buy in the shops. I bought a wind-up motor and then replicated the plastic parts in cardboard. The similarity can be seen in the first two pictures below, and the winding thingy can be seen in the third.
Her movements are a little jerky, but I'm pretty happy with it for a first attempt in cardboard.
Bellydance Bot now lives in Stef's house. Where they can both be wonderful.
